I’m wearing my personal flotation device in case we finally break off and slide into the ocean, or in case there’s a tsunami.

Seriously though, I’m a transplant to California, and you can’t beat the weather, though the yuppies and the Liberals and the dog people* are pretty insufferable.

* For the record: my wife owns two dogs, but she is not a dog people.

El Niño has been a bust for us here in TX. Except for the monumental downpour that almost washed away COTA back in October, we’ve been high and dry. Though there’s lots of rain in the offing next week. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Yup. I bought a shock collar for my wife’s dog — which also beeps, and the beep is just as effective as a shock — and one day this dog lady asked me, “Have you ever tried it on yourself?” I replied, “No, because I always come when my wife calls me and I don’t eat cat poop.”

Insufferable.
